Free High Resolution Images on your Blog

In some cases, you may need to use large scale and high resolution images to explain better the material you are presenting in your post. However, you have certain limitation on the images size, resolution, and format, you may upload or embed. The new service Zoom.It will allow you to bypass any limitations, and you can present image of any size or complexity.

Zoom.it is a free service for viewing and sharing high-resolution imagery. You give us the link to any image on the web, and we give you a beautiful new way to experience it — along with a nice short URL.

How it works

Zoom.it converts your image to the Deep Zoom format, which lets you smoothly and efficiently explore the whole image, no matter how large is it. Zoom.it runs on Windows Azure and enhances the experience with Microsoft Silverlight when available.

How to use

  1. Upload image you like to share on any online file storage site. Save the link to the image for future use. Note that you can actually provide also links to PDFs, SVGs and even regular webpages.
  2. Paste the link into the textbox on the page http://zoom.it/pages/create and hit "Create" button.
  3. Wait for rendering completion, and you can view instantly the resulting Zoom.it image, which you can share with anyone through short URL, or by embedding the viewer directly onto your own blog.
